….and the 48 nationalities present in Muscat – Where Can I Find Facebook group are…..’

Wow!! What an engaging bunch of members we have here.  You really did jump at this question I asked.

I asked you, ‘What is your nationality?’  Did you know that within 10 minutes I had 30 responses to this question.  I was impressed.  The question was purely for fun but also to find out how wide the groups audience had spread.  Thank you to everyone for sharing and giving everyone a glimpse into where everyone is from.  I don’t know about you but sometimes I try and guess where someone might be from and to be honest most of the time I get it wrong and remarkably so just because of how many nationalities we have in the group.

So, getting straight to the point here are the results of that survey.

1.       There are 48 nationalities represented in this group. Amazing!

2.       Indians are the most popular nationality in the group.

3.       Pakistanis are the 2nd most popular nationality in the group.

4.       British are the 3rd most popular nationality in the Group.

5.       WE have 16 European nations – Italian, Great Britain, (includes Isle of Man), French, German,
Switzerland, Russian, Polish, Danish, Irish, Ukrainian, Romanian, Moldavian, Dutch, Hungarian, Turkey and Greek.

6.       We have 7 African nations – South African, Egyptian, Libyan, Ethiopian, Kenyan, Zimbabwean and Algerian.

7.       We had 7 Asian nationalities – Singaporean, Filipino Indonesian, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi & Sri Lankan

8.       We have 6 Middle Eastern nations in the Group – Palestinian, Iranian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Syrian and Iraq.

9.       We have 4 South American Nationalities in the Group – Chilean, Argentinian, Mexican and Colombian.

10.   We only had two members of the GCC present in the group and those were Omani’s and Bahraini.

11.   We had 3 nations from Australasia – Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti.

12.   We have Canada and United States of America nationalities in the group.

I’m really impressed with the diversity of cultures we have here.  48 nations is nothing to be shy about. I would really love to build on this information and find out more about your country and how it compares to Oman.  It’s just for fun and an opportunity for you to share your nation with Oman.
