Muscatwhere.com - the Brain of Muscat.

www.Muscatwhere.com

So Muscat-Where Can I Find (MWCIF) has become a MASSIVE database of credible useful community information which helps newbies and long time residents of Muscat find what they need. The process is simple, you ask and members of the community answer with their recommendations, suggestions and insight. In the 4.5 years the group has existed, the group has amassed a database of over 28,000 posts and over 165,000 comments. It surely is the brain of Muscat.

Simple Process
The process is simple. All the information shared is automatically updated via the Facebook group to muscatwhere.com so you can search to see if you your question has been asked and if it has been answered. So if you are looking for chia seeds, a handy man, a particular product/service or even information then this tool will download old posts and comments related to what you are looking for.

Keyword Search
Using the tool is simple. You type in your keyword, your date limits and click 'Search' and the tool will download all posts/comments relevant to that keyword. All you have to do is look through them and see if any of them are relevant. You can then head over to the particular post in the group by clicking 'go to post' and commenting again or just writing down the information you need.

Check out your own Posts and comments
You can also see your own posts and comments so you can see what you have written in the past. I thought that would be nice to see our own posts and remember what we have asked for.

So now there is no need to worry about 'I can't find a post' or 'does anyone remember a post about..' - just head over to www.muscatwhere.com - type in your keyword and be on with the rest of your day.

Welcome to 'Muscat - Where Can I Find' - Facebook Group

If you can’t find what you are looking for in Muscat, not sure who to ask or new to Muscat and got a few questions then this is the group where you will find your answers.

With an ever growing group, Muscat – Where Can I Find Facebook Group has become a stellar community of Muscat residents sharing advice, information, suggestions, recommendations, inspiration and support to help you find what you are looking for in Muscat.

This community group has been around for over 3 years and has become the number 1 place to find what you are looking for. The advice given is all based on individual’s personal experience and knowledge.

To maintain this position as a credible and valuable local resource for Muscat we maintain the group daily removing adverts and spam. It’s important to us that we keep the focus of the group on ‘finding what you are looking for’ without having to scroll through spam and adverts.

I'm delighted for you to post what you are looking in this group here on Facebook. It's the best way for us to get to know Muscat quickly, get to know a few new people without infringing on people’s Facebook profiles. Overall you are getting to know your community better because remember ‘somebody always knows something’

Having said that, we do have a group guideline which I would appreciate you read so that you are familiar with the rules of the group. Please try to be mindful of this and help me protect our group from becoming just another FB group with a million links that nobody takes the slightest bit of notice of. The guidelines are intended purely to maintain structure and discipline. [Link below for guidelines]

We also have a new website/blog to compliment the group. This blog will pull some of the key stories to come out of the group, cover polls, opinions and concerns. Lots goes on in this group so if you have a community initiative that needs a bit more attention, a story to share, anything that the whole community should know about then let me know. [link to website is below]

I've received a lot of positive feedback from many of you about this group - it's a place where REAL engagement, contribution, support and connections are being made. I’m very proud of this group and what it has become I look forward to enjoy many new members and many new great questions.

Thanks for your support... and don't forget... ‘Somebody always knows something…’.

LOVE much, ASK lots, HELP lots, LAUGH often, LIVE well

Muscat Where can I Find guidelines.

Guidelines?  Really?  uh...yes.  they are needed.

MWCIF has been running now for over 3 years and as you can see from the posts and comments its a successful spot to help you find what you are looking for.  As things grow and improve its important to outline in more detail a set of guidelines that give users a better understanding of acceptable communication.

I have put together a set of guidelines which I think reflect where the group sits at the moment. I would appreciate you having a read of them to make yourself familiar with them but also allow you the opportunity to comment and give me feedback. You may comment on this post or you can message me directly. Please note that these guidelines are subject to change as the group evolves.

I created a separate page for them so that they were easily available for all to read. :)

have a great day guys.  Happy finding.
